d-CON® Traps

1. FAQ & General Questions: How do d-CON products compare to others on the market? | d-CON

1. Baiting: On the bottom of the trap, peel back the small self-adhesive label. Apply bait (cheese or peanut butter) to the bait compartment. Reseal self-adhesive label over compartment, and turn trap over (d-CON® label up).

2. Setting: While holding base of trap, twist top cover in clockwise rotation (in direction of arrow) until it locks. A red indicator will show through the hole marked “Set” on the top of the trap. A mouse entryway will open in front.

3. Placement: GENTLY place set trap (d-CON® label up) on hard surface near wall, or in areas where mice are active. For best results, place two or more d-CON® traps 4-6 feet apart where you see or suspect mice.

4. Disposal: Check trap frequently. When mouse entryway is closed and red indicator shows through the hole marked “Mouse Caught,” dispose of the entire trap.

Note: If trap is accidentally triggered, a red indicator will show at the “Not Set” position. Repeat the instructions at Step 2 (“Setting”) if this occurs.

The trap is safer to children and pets than traditional snap traps. However, as with all d-CON® products, children and pets should be kept away from device.

4. Can I use bait other than cheese or peanut butter?

You can use any other bait, but the most recommended is peanut butter.

5. How can I be sure there is a mouse inside the d-CON® No View No Touch Trap?

The red indicator will show in “Mouse Caught” slot and the entryway will be closed. The trap will be heavier when picked up.

6. Is the mouse alive in a d-CON® No View No Touch Trap when the red indicator shows "Mouse Caught"?

No.

7. What are the different kinds of traps sold by d-CON®?

d-CON® traps include the traditional Wood Snap Trap,  Flat Glue Traps, Glue Boards (that can be used either flat or folded), a glue/snap trap combo, the Quick Kill Trap, Ultra Set a covered trap and the innovative No View, No Touch™ traps. 8. Do you need to use bait for the new d-CON® Quick Kill Glue Trap?

No, d-CON® Quick Kill Glue Trap offers a no mess no bait quick solution to rodents. It catches like a Glue Trap, killing with the force of a Snap Trap. There is no need to bait and there is no contact with mice. Watch the “How to” videos for detailed instructions on how to set the trap.

9. How do I get improved performance from the d-CON® Ultra Set trap?

d-CON® Ultra Set covered snap trap is easy to set. To ensure good performance, before setting the ultraset trap, it needs to be placed on a flat surface. For the trap to work properly, it is also essential that you do not over-bait. An amount of peanut butter the size of a large pea (1/8 teaspoon) is recommended as bait. It is important to place bait only inside the cup and avoid the surrounding parts of the Ultra Set Trap.

11. How do Mouse Traps Work?

d-CON® Ultra Set Snap Traps: Simply lift the front cover and place the bait in the round bait cup inside the trap, then close the cover. Place the trap on a flat surface and slowly pull the lever all the way down and gently release until it locks securely in place. When the mouse tries to steal the bait, the spring loaded mechanism is triggered, and a metal bar will snap and kill the rodent.

d-CON® No View, No Touch Trap: On the bottom of the No View, No Touch trap, peel back the small self-adhesive label to apply bait. While holding base of trap in a horizontal position, twist top cover in a clockwise rotation. A red indicator will show through the hole marked "Set" on top of the trap as the trap clicks in to place. A mouse entry way will open in front for the mouse to enter the trap. Once the mouse enters the trap and tries to eat the bait, it will release a trigger so that the trap snaps shut closing the entry point and killing the mouse. Simply dispose of the entire trap without having to see the mouse.

d-CON® Quick Kill Glue Trap: Pull the lever on the curved back of the trap and lift upwards until the lever locks in to the top "Set" position. No need to bait these Quick Kill Glue Traps and once a mouse is caught, discard the entire trap.

d-CON® Glue Traps: For these traps, no bait is needed. Simply place these traps along a wall or baseboard where you have seen or suspect mice to travel and wait. Rodents will get caught in the trap and be unable to move, allowing you to quickly dispose of them.
