d-CON® Baits

1. What are the different kinds of bait products that d-CON® offers?

d-CON® offers a full range of bait products to suit different usage situations. Ready mix bait bits are the perfect solution if you don't want to come in contact with a rodent. d-CON® place packs provide a mess-free way to kill rodents in hard to reach places. d-CON® Wedges comes in 1.5oz and 3oz packs. They work well in hard to get to areas.

2. How many days does it take to get rid of rodent activity with baits?

Rats and Mice may consume a lethal dose in one feeding, with the first dead rodents appearing 4 or 5 days after feeding begins.

3. Can I use this on other animals? (squirrels, chipmunks, possums, raccoons, etc.?)

No. Our rodenticide products are registered only for the control of rats and mice, therefore, we can make no claim that they will be effective against any animals other than rats and mice. We suggest contacting your local Pest Control Association, or the County Agent, for information relative to your problem.

4. What is the active ingredient?

The active ingredient in our Refillable and Disposable Bait Stations is Diphacinone.

5. Should I broadcast the bait?

No, you should not broadcast the bait. If desired you can tear a corner on the bait pack, otherwise just place the pack in the desired location. Do not scatter the bait.

6. What's the best way to bait?

You should begin baiting as soon as you detect a problem. Put bait in areas where you notice or suspect rodent activity. Mice tend to travel only 10 to 30 feet from their nest, while a rat's home range is 25 to 150 feet. Be sure to keep bait fresh and dry, and get rid of any old or contaminated bait.

7. Do I need to tear open the place packs before I place the bait?

No. Place packs are filled and ready to use. There's no mess while you place them – mice eat through closed bait packs. They are a perfect solution for baiting attics or inaccessible areas.
